Words have always been part of my creative life, from poetry and personal essays, to journalism rooted in lived experience.
In April 2026, my first piece was published by the Prison Journalism Project, an independent outlet dedicated to authentic storytelling from inside and outside the criminal justice system.
The article, “Prison Makes Death Routine”, draws on six years of correspondence with people incarcerated across the United States, exploring how death becomes normalised within prison walls and the silence that surrounds it.
